Exciting things have been happening with the electric vibes... Starting in early 2013, I began experimenting again with vibe pick-up systems.  Along with the latest generation of digital processors, pitch-to-midi conversion, and the Bose L1 amplifier, I am discovering sound territory that’s never been possible to achieve with previous systems.  Notably, I have been able to get rid of the unpleasant “plunkiness” found with many vibe pickups. 

I’m hoping to finally have some sounds that really enhance and expand the natural language of the vibes. Sounds that are expressive, and inspire me to play in new ways. The technology has opened a door to some interesting new options.
